JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for summer and hourly substitutes for our Bmss Utgjordsgatan, Vidbo, and Lindhult. All operations are located in Örgryte-Härlanda.

At Vidbo and Lindhult, users with congenital or early-onset deafblindness combined with physical disabilities requiring significant care needs reside. Your main tasks will involve support in daily chores and activities, such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and leisure activities. We work with low-arousal responses, AAC, sensory stimulation, and other methods that contribute to a meaningful everyday life for users.

At Utjordsgatan's BmSS, people with various types of functional variations and different needs reside. Most users live with multiple disabilities with additional difficulties such as epilepsy. They have a total need for care, and the work is therefore very care-intensive, including heavy lifting. You will work with educational support in daily life, personal care, medication management, and tube feeding. You provide support both at the user's home in their own apartment and outside the residence.

To be considered for a summer substitute position, you need to be able to work full-time on a schedule. You also need to be available fully or partially for work during weeks 25-33. In your application, you will fill in the times you can work. To get into the job before the summer, there is an opportunity to work hours before your summer substitute position.

We are also looking for hourly substitutes who can cover for regular staff absences as needed in the operations. As an hourly substitute, you will be offered flexible working hours scheduled during the day, evening, or night on weekdays and weekends according to what suits you. You can control your working hours by entering your availability and receiving work requests accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

To apply for a position with us, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations regarding minors' working environment (AFS 2023:2).

To document, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which means a requirement for approved grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is meritorious if you:

• Are a trained nursing assistant, support assistant, or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent, or have ongoing education in health and care.
• Have previous work experience in care and support, nursing, or social work.
• Have experience working with people with deafblindness.
• Have knowledge and experience of PEG/tube feeding.
