Paramedic to Kungälv and Alingsås

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Description

The Kungälv ambulance service consists of four ambulance stations: Ale, Kungälv, Stenungsund, and Tjörn, as well as a unit for non-emergency patient transport. There are 53 permanent employees working in the ambulance service.

The Alingsås ambulance service consists of two ambulance stations: Alingsås and Lerum. Approximately 45 permanent employees work in the ambulance service.

Responsibilities

As a paramedic, you will play an active role in planning, executing, and being responsible for tasks within ambulance care, based on the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Safety Act, and directives from the ambulance chief physician. The paramedic should contribute to good patient care and a positive work environment with an ethical approach.

Introduction training starts on 25-05-01.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant with further education in ambulance care, and you must have training and experience in emergency driving. A driving license with at least C1 category is required. Good local knowledge within the respective ambulance district is highly meritorious.

You should have practical experience in ambulance care and good physical ability, as we conduct physical tests. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where flexibility and the ability to work independently are important aspects.

Test days for Kungälv are 25-01-21 and 25-02-27. Test days for Alingsås are 25-01-13 and 25-01-22.

Employment Type

This is a fixed-term employment until 2025-08-31 with the possibility of extension.
