Ivarssons in Metsjö is a prosperous, innovative, and growing company located just outside Linköping.

At Metsjö, we currently focus on four main products - high-tech wagons, Flakväxlare, machine halls, and mobile storage. All of this is done from scratch using raw steel materials. We value close collaboration with our customers, and our production facilities encompass the entire chain from steel to finished product. We currently deliver wagons all over Europe.

Metsjö is situated just outside Linköping in a nature-friendly environment. It is commutable to Norrköping, Åtvidaberg, and Mjölby, among others.

Today, there are about 71 employees at the company. Work with us is often independent and free, which means you will take a lot of personal responsibility for your part in the manufacturing chain.

About 15 people work in the office, including designers, drafters, production planners, salespeople, HR, and purchasers. We value good cohesion between different areas such as production and office.

We are now looking for a production technician who will work with preparation on-site with us in Metsjö. You will work under production management alongside other preparers. In this role, it is required that you have a good sense of quality as you will be working to ensure the introduction of new products into production. The role also places high demands on analytical ability and a structured approach to problem-solving.

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and/or a university degree in a relevant technical field such as mechanical or production engineering. You should possess good knowledge of English and Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as good skills in the Office suite. Experience with the business system Jeeves is a strong merit, but it is also beneficial if you have worked with similar business systems. Since we work according to a quality management system, it is also a merit if you have worked with that before.

Main responsibilities

· Plan and organize production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

· Collaborate with different departments to optimize production flow.

· Suggest improvements and ensure quality in production processes.

· Monitor and track production times and lead times.

· Create & develop flows and routines.

· Inform and train internal staff in the operations.

Qualifications

· Relevant university education in the technical field and/or extensive experience in the manufacturing industry such as mechanical or production engineering.

· Knowledge of production drawings.

· You possess good analytical skills.

· Have a good economic understanding.

· You must master Swedish and English in both writing and speaking.

· B driver's license.

· Good knowledge of the Office suite.

· Have good computer skills as a significant part of the work requires knowledge of our business system Jeeves.

Working hours/duration:

The position is full-time at 40 hours/week, with working hours scheduled during the day. We apply both flexible hours and reduced working hours. The position will start with a fixed-term employment of 6 months, which is intended to transition into a permanent position. A collective agreement is, of course, in place at Metsjö.

Start date: Earliest from 2025-04-15
