Quality Engineer for Consulting Assignment at SAAB

Jeffersonwells is now seeking a Quality Engineer for a consulting assignment in the quality team within Production Supply Special Processes at SAAB.

You will belong to Saab Aeronautics Fighter Production. The section supports Aeronautics Fighter Production with quality technical issues, problem-solving, and efficiencies in surface treatment and painting. The team consists of about 10 quality engineers with varying experiences, but we share a common focus on the customer, driven by problem-solving and continuous improvements.

Your Role

We are looking for an engaged colleague in the field of quality. You will be part of our workshop support team that works together with other support functions to streamline production in both the short and long term. Your tasks will be varied and include:

• Problem-solving
• Coordinating and driving cases/investigations
• Improvements and handling of deviations in production

You will be part of the management team for the production section where you operate, together with production leaders, team leaders, and production engineers. Together, we work to achieve the business goals, for example, by reducing deviations and meeting our lead time or target hours.

Your Profile

The role of a Quality Engineer involves extensive collaboration with various departments and business units within the company. Therefore, you should enjoy working in teams and be driven to achieve common goals. We hope you are analytical and creative, and can find solutions to problems that arise in production.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• A university degree in a relevant field
• A background in chemical processes
• An interest in advocating for the best production practices with support in product/requirement knowledge, root cause investigations, and production processes
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For certain positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may involve citizenship requirements.
