As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at Combitech in Linköping

You will work on assignments for our customers to improve the quality of their suppliers. As an SQE, you will collaborate with many other functions both internally with the customer and with the customer’s external suppliers. We are looking for someone with broad product knowledge in manufacturing. The assignments vary across product areas from the latest prototype development to high-volume production.

Your role as a consultant in Supplier Quality

As an SQE, you will lead and drive improvement work with and at the customer's suppliers related to purchasing quality. You will often work together with the purchasing department where the task may be to qualify new suppliers and follow up on performance in the existing supplier base within one or more purchasing areas. Together with the development department, purchasing, and the supplier, you will ensure the quality assurance of new components or systems in development projects and ensure that manufacturing processes at suppliers maintain high quality.

Your work will involve proactively preventing and addressing quality deficiencies at suppliers by independently performing follow-ups, process audits, and supplier assessments. You will lead and coordinate sustainability activities related to the customer’s supplier base, initiate and drive improvement projects in long-term sustainability efforts, and follow up and strengthen compliance with agreed improvement activities, such as complaint processes. The tasks will likely also involve analyzing and initiating improvements in deviation management both at the supplier and internally with the customer.

At Combitech, you will be part of the business unit Industrialization & Supply Chain Management, and in your assignments, you represent both our customers and your professional role and Combitech in all your contacts. Our collective expertise forms a network beneficial for both your and our customers' development.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a civil engineer or has another equivalent academic background and experience in relevant roles within the manufacturing industry. In your daily work, you will meet people at all levels and functions, which places high demands on your communication skills and the ability to create a trusting and positive atmosphere. In the assignments, very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written in a technical context, is required.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
