Consultant Unit Manager in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)

The ILS unit at Combitech is in an expansive phase, and we are therefore looking for a curious person who wants to work with leadership combined with consulting assignments in the area of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for the Östergötland region (East) based in Linköping or Norrköping. If you want to work on exciting assignments that strengthen Sweden's defense capability while also developing business, operations, and people, the role of Consultant Unit Manager could be just right for you.

Your role as Consultant Unit Manager

ILS as a profession is currently divided into four, soon five, regional and collaborative consulting units: South, West, East, and Stockholm/Norr, which together today consist of about 50 employees located from Malmö in the south to Luleå in the north. The unit is part of the Speciality Engineering division, where approximately 365 employees work with ILS-related issues.

We have extensive experience in working with ILS/IPS/LE/LCM/RAMS across several different industries such as defense, industry, and infrastructure. The assignments at Combitech are varied, and the opportunities for development are great. We work with everything from aircraft and submarines to trains, combat vehicles, and unmanned vehicles. To have a good understanding of the consultants' everyday life and to establish natural contacts with customers, the tasks as Consultant Unit Manager are interspersed with your own consulting assignments. The managerial role includes business development, resource planning, personnel responsibility, conducting development and salary discussions, and the opportunity to work with recruitment.

In the ILS area, we work with the following:

ILS/LSA management (Project management within ILS and Logistic Support Analysis)
Operation and maintenance analyses on complex systems, primarily within the defense industry
Design-influencing ILS
Contributing to increased availability, safety, and efficiency of a system or product
Contributing to increased maintainability of a system or product
Contributing to reduced LCC (Life Cycle Cost) during the system/product life cycle
Modeling and sizing of support solutions
Training

In the consulting role, your assignments vary, and there are great development opportunities. Tasks may include assignments in project management, studies, analyses, and preparation across the entire ILS area.

To create good conditions for you to enter the position, you will initially be introduced to the role and work alongside our current Consultant Unit Manager in Linköping. You will be part of the management group of the results unit, which together is responsible for the unit's results and development. Who are you?

You who are applying are a university/civil engineer in a technical field or equivalent, combined with relevant work experience, e.g., relevant defense background. We would like you to have a background in ILS/RAMS or related activities.

Being a good listener and considering employees' different conditions and abilities is a natural part of your leadership, and you recognize the importance of working proactively to ensure that employees thrive and feel good. You create participation and engagement in the group and see close collaboration with colleagues as a natural part of your workday. Experience in leadership roles within consulting, service sales, and recruitment is an advantage.

As you will work closely with both employees and customers, we emphasize that you have a good ability to communicate and build relationships. You thrive on variety and working with both business and analytical tasks. You need to have administrative skills and be fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
