About the position

As we expand our operations, we need more dedicated nursing colleagues. One of the positions will focus on short-term care, and one will focus on BPSD care for our tenants with cognitive impairment.

To thrive in the role of a nurse with us, we believe you are passionate about creating safe and meaningful care for our tenants. You will be responsible for the care of a number of tenants and work in a team with your nursing colleagues, occupational therapist, nursing staff, and unit manager. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region.

Examples of tasks:

• decide, implement, and follow up on nursing measures
• be responsible for guidance and training in nursing
• instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to nursing staff
• maintain contact with and provide support to relatives
• document in various quality registers and operational systems
• participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the workplace

Elgströmska huset is located in Mellringe and has 59 places intended for people with cognitive impairment and 20 places intended for short-term care. We focus heavily on zero-vision work and person-centered care.

As a nurse with us, you will have your base placement at Elgströmska huset but belong to the Väster 1 area in the new health and medical care organization. Väster 1 includes Adrianska huset, Löwenhjelmska huset, and Elgströmska huset. Read more about Elgströmska huset at orebro.se/elgstromska!

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercise in the field, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Additionally, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• driver's license B

Meritorious:

• experience working as a nurse
• experience working with people with cognitive impairment
• experience with documentation and operational systems such as Treserva, Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert
• specialist training such as district nurse, geriatrics, or psychiatry

Employment form: permanent employment

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Number of positions: 2

Working hours: day, evening, and weekend. Currently, it is every sixth weekend.
