Team Leader for Machining Department in the Industry

We are looking for a driven and committed team leader for our client in the industrial sector.

About the Role

As a team leader in the machining department, you will be responsible for planning and directing the operational work in the CNC hall based on production planning. You will act as a link between production management and daily operations while also participating in production yourself. The role also involves responsibility for quality assurance, planning machining times, and mentoring new employees and interns.

Currently, the work is conducted during the day, but the company aims to introduce two shifts in the future.

The position is a 6-month consultancy assignment with plans to transition into employment with the client after the period.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily planning and management of production in the department;
  • Ensuring that production planning is followed;
  • Communicating the company's vision and rules to the team;
  • Mentoring and supporting employees and introducing new colleagues;
  • Ensuring compliance with quality routines and safety regulations;
  • Maintaining contact with other departments and reporting improvement suggestions;
  • Participating in daily production work.

About You

We are looking for an experienced CNC operator with leadership qualities. You are a responsive and unpretentious problem solver with a positive attitude and an interest in developing both yourself and your team.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Practical education in industry or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a leadership position, such as team leader
  • Good computer skills and experience with CAM programs, such as Edge or Gibbs
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and reading technical drawings
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

  • Forklift and overhead crane licenses
  • Good knowledge of English

Conditions

  • Start: Immediately
  • End: 6 months of consultancy with plans to transition into employment with the client after the period.
