The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.

The Multicultural Unit is responsible for mother tongue instruction and study guidance for newly arrived students in Sigtuna and Knivsta municipalities. In our operations, we place the student at the center, focusing on strengthening the student's identity and promoting their knowledge development based on their mother tongue. We work to create a safe and open atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged to express their opinions, share their ideas, and try new concepts. In trust, children/students, parents, and staff collaborate on equality, democracy, and the equal value of all.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Mother tongue instruction at two schools in Sigtuna Municipality. The teaching will be conducted in heterogeneous groups from grade 1 to grade 6, one afternoon a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with work experience as a mother tongue teacher. If you have a teaching degree or other educational training, we see it as a significant plus. Likewise, if you have training in the language.

You should be well-versed in Lgr 22 and able to work with digital tools in teaching to promote learning. It is advantageous if you have previously planned and conducted distance learning. It is also beneficial if you have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are positive, engaged, and want to contribute to good language development for our students. You enjoy working with children and young people and can build good relationships with both students and their parents. You can work independently but also collaborate closely with others. You are a reliable adult, have good communication skills, and want to develop in your teaching role.
