Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for public authority functions, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a particular responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner using strength-based approaches.

The position and job responsibilities

In the advertised position as a curator, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our Youth Reception.

The position is a temporary contract until the end of December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

In the role of curator, you will primarily work with young people and young adults in individual conversations and groups, but also engage in outreach work, such as class visits. You need to be able to work independently and be driven, as an important part of the role is to put the Youth Reception's curator support on the map.

We work cross-professionally with the goal of offering those we meet a well-coordinated care together with a curator colleague and with the region's midwives and other relevant partners.

Qualifications

Those applying to us should have a degree in social work or another behavioral science degree.

You have several years of experience in conversations with children and young adults, preferably in the role of curator and/or experience working within social services or schools with this age group.

The position requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

What we consider highly meritorious:

• Sexology 1
• Basic psychotherapy training
• ACT training
• Training related to violence, violence prevention, and trauma
• Work experience from a youth reception
• Experience in treatment work with children and young people

The work also requires you to have a positive outlook, engagement, and respect for young people's living conditions.

Furthermore, you enjoy conducting development work within the organization together with others.
