High School Teacher for the Aesthetic Program

ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for a high school teacher for the Aesthetic Program.

We are the leading educational center in Southern Lapland with a wide range of upper secondary education, ski high school (NIU), adult education, and adapted schools for youth and adults. Our vision is to create a driving force for lifelong learning together – a learning that is the key to life!

The work involves planning and conducting teaching within the education together with the team at the Aesthetic Program. You will also have other customary tasks that are part of the teaching profession. At the Educational Center, we operate with the principle that the student is always in focus, and as a teacher, you will have close cooperation with student health services.

YOUR PROFILE

We believe in the right competence in the right place.

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a teaching license in music, music theory, and aesthetic communication. Experience working with choirs and ensembles is desirable, as well as good knowledge of various instruments. Experience in pedagogical work is also desirable but not a requirement.

It is important that you have good social skills and a positive attitude towards both students and guardians as well as colleagues. We operate with the principle that the student is always in focus, and as a teacher, you will collaborate closely with the school's various professionals. You should have good teamwork skills and a willingness and interest in collaborating in teams and subject groups. It is also positive if you are interested in working with collegial learning and striving to strengthen the sense of community within the workgroup and organization.
