Your role ​
As a safety technician, you mainly work with maintenance, installations, commissioning, and service of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, gas extinguishing systems, and to some extent burglary alarms. In addition, you also perform troubleshooting and come up with proposals for measures. The work tasks are largely carried out at LKAB's facilities both above and below ground, including at LKAB's facilities in Luleå a few times a year. In this role, you will have a wide network both internally within LKAB Malmberget and externally within the industry. Therefore, we value that you have good social skills.

We are looking for someone who has a strong safety mindset, keeps good order and is a meticulous installer. You thrive in a free role where you are responsible for planning your work time effectively based on the assignment, but you also work well in a team. We believe in you and your capacity and give you both trust and freedom to develop and grow. There are great opportunities for professional development in the field, and certification according to the standard for authorized fire alarm engineers may be relevant in the long term. Since LKAB has its own industrial fire brigade, an area of development for this role is to eventually be able to join the internal industrial fire brigade, therefore it is desirable that you meet the medical and physical requirements equivalent to those of a firefighter.
 

This is what you bring with you ​

• High school education is required, with a focus on electrical, control & regulation or automation, or equivalent experience
• Driver's license B is a requirement for all positions at LKAB
• A few years of experience as an electrician or technician is required
• Experience from work with alarm installations is an advantage
• Familiarity with LKAB Malmberget's industrial area and/or LKAB's facilities in Luleå is an advantage
