Lumire, Luleå Miljöresurs AB (https://www.lumire.se/), is a municipal company for water and sewage, waste management, recycling, and reuse. Lumire is owned by Luleå municipality and we are 220 employees ensuring that all residents of Luleå have fresh and tasty drinking water from the tap and that waste and sewage are handled in a circular manner.
By coordinating water and waste issues within the same company, we are a strong player in sustainable environmental technology and community building.
Lumire is in an exciting phase of development and is a key player in the work towards the green transition and a sustainable Luleå. As an occupational health engineer, you will have an important role in the work ahead. Together we make Luleå sustainable.
Within Lumire, we operate in various work environments where serious risks can arise. Systematic and preventive occupational health work is a natural part of our daily operations. We report, investigate, address, and follow up on risks, incidents, and accidents in ENIA to prevent ill health and accidents at work.
We are now expanding our KMA department (Quality Environment Occupational Health) with an occupational health engineer who wants to drive the development of occupational health and safety at Lumire.
About the role
As an occupational health engineer, you will have a close collaboration with our three operational areas: Water and Sewage, Recycling and Waste, and Biogas regarding all issues related to occupational health and safety. In addition to these operational areas, Lumire also conducts construction and civil engineering work where you as an occupational health engineer will provide support. You will also have close contact with the management team, HR, managers, safety representatives, and employees.
Responsibilities included in the work:
• Structure our systematic occupational health work, ensure legal compliance, develop instructions and checklists.
• Conduct occupational health assessments, measurements, and identify risks in our operational areas.
• Provide support in risk assessments, investigation of incidents, and support in the ENIA system.
• Conduct training on occupational health and safety for managers and employees.
• In the role of occupational health engineer, you have an important role in our safety committees.
• Documentation and reporting to management and authorities.
Qualifications:
You have a relevant university degree, preferably in occupational health, or other education that can be considered equivalent.
Several years of experience working with occupational health and safety issues. Experience in industrial operations is an advantage.
You hold a B driver's license.
