Mellbystrand School

Mellbystrand School is a F-6 school with approximately 200 students, of which 120 are enrolled in our after-school program. We have high competence with six teachers employed in the after-school program. Mellbystrand School is characterized by a good working climate, ongoing improvement work, and staff who enjoy their jobs.

We see the entire school as a learning organization, have high expectations, and trust each other where joint training, workshops, and collegial learning are important parts.

We have wonderful facilities both indoors and outdoors, as well as well-equipped craft rooms that create great opportunities for our students' learning.

About the Position

In your role, you will teach woodworking and metalworking as well as textile crafts. You are responsible for planning, following up, and evaluating your teaching together with students and colleagues. If you have a teaching license in additional subjects, further teaching may be added. The position may be supplemented with craft teaching up to 100% at another school in the municipality.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

You have a teaching degree with qualifications to teach crafts for grades 3-6 or 3-9. Ideally, you have a license for both woodworking and textile crafts or are a teacher in an after-school program with a license that includes crafts. You should have an interest in being involved in developing the school in collaboration with other staff. An example could be initiating interdisciplinary work that includes crafts. You possess qualities that include relationship-building, clarity, structure, and creativity to promote students' motivation, participation, and learning.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
