The Role of a Teacher with Us

In this role, you contribute to a culture where we together take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. In your daily work, you collaborate and interact with students, parents, and colleagues at the Cultural School, as well as with other units, activities, and actors in the municipality. The work is mainly conducted during children and young people's free time, that is, afternoons and evenings.

Your Profile

You are an engaged and creative educator who meets students' interests with curiosity and enthusiasm and sees play as a natural part of the educational work. You work well in a team, are flexible, and take the initiative to develop the activities. You are also a responsible and efficient person who can prioritize and deliver results, as well as adapt to changing circumstances. You meet students' areas of interest and perspectives with interest and curiosity and have a good ability to work with different colleagues with different subject competencies and orientations. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• music pedagogical university education or equivalent with violin as the main subject
• taught at various levels and with children of different ages
• broad genre competence

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working with group teaching, rhythmics, and string playing
• experience leading an orchestra

The Cultural School in Kungsbacka is a voluntary and fee-based activity, open to all children and young people aged 5-20 in Kungsbacka municipality. We also work with various forms of open activities to broaden participation in the cultural school. The Cultural School offers children and young people the opportunity to experience creation in the form of music, dance, art, film, and theater. Currently, there are about 2,000 participating students and around 55 employees in the organization.

The vision of the Cultural School is to attract and offer a place for all children and young people, providing them with a meaningful leisure time. Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent position at 20% starting August 11 or by agreement.

Before a possible interview, you will present a short lesson plan to the recruiting manager and a few colleagues in the organization. We do not assess your musical performance, but your approach and how you tackle the task. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
