My name is Erik Lundin, and I am the principal of Mockfjärd School, an attractive school located close to nature, which allows for many outdoor activities.

Every day, about 400 students receive their education at the school, distributed across grades F-9 and an after-school program. In the same building, there is also the municipality's adapted primary school, a school and community library, and the upper secondary school's IM program.

At Mockfjärd School, good relationships, knowledge at the center, and a belief in the future are guiding principles. You should also know that we in Gagnef Municipality place great value on promoting and preventive measures aimed at creating a good learning environment for all students.

The school's student health team consists of school nurses, special educators, special teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, and principals. Mockfjärd School has a staff of about 70 people, with a qualification rate of 90%. Together, we drive the work and teaching forward, where you will certainly become an important part.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching physical education and possibly another subject in which you are certified. An important part of this responsibility is working to adapt the learning environment based on the needs you encounter at the individual and group level, all to meet students where they are in their development. To succeed in this task, you need to have a good ability to plan your subject and lead your students according to the national curriculum.

You also need to easily create good contacts with guardians and be diligent in maintaining clear documentation regarding your students. You will individually and together with your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work based on the school's governing documents, and with other mentors in the work team, contribute to creating a holistic approach around the student. Mentorship may be included in the position, so you also need to value the work of building relationships with your students.

Qualifications

As a leader, you need to have the ability to see your students' varying needs and interests. You need to have an inclusive working method, based on good pedagogical insight with a well-thought-out view of knowledge and students. Experience working with students' varying challenges related to NPF is an advantage.

Even though your main task is to be responsible for teaching in your teaching groups, it is important that you can maintain a holistic perspective where you have an interest in and work for the entire school's development work. To thrive in the role, it is therefore important that you place great value on collaboration with other professionals at the school, that you are structured yet flexible, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4-6, with the ability to teach physical education, but if you have qualifications in other subjects, we would be happy to discuss the design of the position so that it, as far as possible, meets your wishes. For the position, it is important that you are accustomed to working with digital tools in a learning process.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment with a scope of about 80%, with the possibility of extension depending on qualifications in subjects other than physical education and health. The start date is 250812 or by agreement. Before employment, a teaching license and a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented.
