We offer our summer substitutes an introduction to the operations so that you will feel secure even if you have not previously worked with similar tasks. Within LSS, operations run around the clock, which means you may work days, evenings, weekends, and/or nights.

Job Responsibilities

Group and Service Housing

As a support assistant/care assistant, you work in a group or service housing or in daily activities. The individuals you meet in your work have some form of physical and/or mental functional variation. You will be a social and pedagogical support for users who need help making everyday life work. Your tasks include assisting with transfers, dressing and undressing, hygiene, cooking, shopping, and cleaning.

Short-term/Recreation

Short-term/Recreation is an operation for children and youth aged 5-19 years with some form of functional variation. The purpose of the operation is for the children/youth to have a meaningful leisure time as well as a change of environment and recreation. The operation is conducted in connection with the school day, during breaks, and when parents need relief, which also includes nights and weekends.

Residential Support/Social Psychiatry

As a support assistant/care assistant in social psychiatry, you work with individuals living with mental health issues and who are covered by SoL. You provide social and pedagogical support in the user's home and immediate environment. You motivate the individual to become as independent as possible by supporting them in managing their home and grocery shopping. The support is based on participation and is tailored individually.

Qualifications

To thrive and do a good job, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You meet our users with respect and consider their individual needs and wishes. The work is varied, which means you need to be secure in yourself and able to adapt to different situations. You enjoy learning new things, are attentive, and show interest in the work.

If you have a degree in child and youth education, nursing education, or education in psychiatry, it is an advantage. We also see it as an advantage if you have previous experience working in healthcare and social services, LSS, and psychiatry. You must be at least 18 years old and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required for residential support.

Conditions

Temporary employment with irregular working hours. There will be day, evening, weekend, and/or night work. Interviews and hiring will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
