The habilitation is a county-wide specialist service located in five locations in Dalarna. Each unit has child and youth habilitation as well as a county-wide adult habilitation with interdisciplinary teams with medical, psychological, social, and educational expertise. The habilitation has an important and challenging mission to make life more possible for children, adolescents, and adults with congenital or early acquired disabilities, as well as for their relatives. The interventions should contribute to a functioning daily life, good quality of life, and participation in society.

We are now looking for a dietitian to the teams who can work in southern Dalarna, primarily Falun and Borlänge. Some remote work is possible.

Dietitian, Habilitation Dalarna, Falun/Borlänge

Job Responsibilities

Areas of work/tasks for dietitians within Habilitation include:

• Eating and swallowing difficulties related to the disability.
• Difficulties in meeting energy and nutritional needs leading to insufficient growth.
• Enteral nutrition, such as gastrostomy. Assessing the need for a nutrition pump and prescribing one if necessary.
• Testing and prescribing nutritional drinks, tube feeding, thickeners, and other special products in the nutrition area.
• Preventive dietary information (preventing overweight) to parents of children with syndromes where there is a risk of overweight/obesity.
• Overweight/obesity related to mobility impairments, now or in the future.
• Providing consultative interventions to the individual's network through information/guidance, e.g., assistants, preschool, school, and short-term care.

Additional Information

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed dietitian
• Several years of experience in the dietitian profession or other experience in healthcare.
• Experience/knowledge of various disabilities
• Driver's license B for manual transmission car as travel within the county is required in the job

Meritorious:

• It is meritorious if you have experience working with children.

You have a commitment and interest in working with our target group. You enjoy working in a team but also have a good ability to work independently. Through your professional approach and communication skills, you create good relationships with both colleagues and patients and their relatives, and contribute to a positive work environment.
