Care Assistant at Enbackagården

Enbackagården is centrally located in Enbacka, Gustafs, with views over vast fields. The residence has 42 apartments, of which 16 are specifically reserved for individuals with dementia. All apartments are on the ground floor, and there are patios connected to each department, as well as a shared inner courtyard.

In addition to the residents' own apartments, there are communal dining rooms, living rooms, and other activity areas.

In your role as a care assistant, you will collaborate daily with colleagues and other partners in the team to provide residents with support to achieve the highest possible quality of life through social interaction, activities, and high-quality care and support.

We now have the opportunity to offer permanent employment in both the somatic department and the dementia-focused department. The work involves every other weekend and is based on a fixed rolling schedule with day/evening shifts.

The number of positions offered is contingent upon necessary decisions being made. Recruitment may occur on an ongoing basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work involves assisting care recipients with their needs based on applicable assistance decisions. The Enbackagården Team consists of care aides, nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, quality-assured nursing assistants, and unit managers.

In addition to Enbackagården's care team, there is also the municipality's medically responsible nurse, dementia nurse, and other professionals who provide methodological support and training for both new and existing staff.

As a care staff member, you will be assigned contact responsibility for 1-2 care recipients, which means in-depth knowledge and engagement in the personal care of the care recipient, as well as ensuring that the individual's personal needs and wishes are met to the best of your ability based on the assistance decision.

As a contact person, you are the primary link between the individual, the care team, and relatives. Being patient and working motivationally is essential to enhance the individual's quality of life and access to daily stimulation. Your tasks include providing support for the individual in their daily life regarding activation, outdoor activities, and social interaction from a rehabilitative perspective.

To ensure safe care and support, you will document continuously during your shifts and contribute to quality development by reporting any deviations related to the individual's assistance decision and situation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Care Assistant Education: A complete education as a care assistant at the upper secondary level within health and care or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
• Language and Digital Skills: You should be comfortable using digital tools in your work daily and be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Experience as a Care Assistant: Previous experience in care work within elderly care and dementia care is an advantage.
• Personal Qualities: As a person, you should have a genuine interest in working with people and strive to contribute to good and quality-assured care and support.

Being service-oriented and structured are essential qualities required for the profession, and it is also important to be able to lead oneself in a job that constantly requires adaptations around the individual and the situation.
