Nurse at the Health and Care Administration

The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly and disability care, home healthcare, and food services. The administration has over 1,000 employees. The largest group of employees consists of care staff such as nursing assistants, personal assistants, nurses, and chefs. However, there are also many other professions within our operations. We are all key personnel, and our activities are characterized by employees who are engaged, responsible, and competent.

The Workplace

The nursing organization in Ludvika municipality includes work with both ordinary and special housing, divided into three areas. In one of our areas, we also work with LSS and psychiatry. During the night, 2 nurses are responsible for all three areas. The work involves a full-time measure of 34:20 according to the schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Working in the nursing organization with us is an inspiring and independent job here within the administration. The position includes areas of responsibility and mentoring of new colleagues. You will participate in workplace meetings and actively contribute to the development of the organization. There are development opportunities, and you have the freedom to plan your workday. You will work in a team with other professional categories. You will perform regular nursing tasks within municipal elderly care and be a supervisor for care staff in medical care. You should be able to mentor and support care staff.

Qualifications

• Swedish license as a nurse is required. Further education in primary healthcare or elderly care is an advantage.
• You should have good cooperation skills in your professional role, be responsive, flexible, and proactive, and have a holistic view of the operations.
• You need to have knowledge and ability to mentor staff in their daily work.
• You will work independently and purposefully and need to be able to handle time pressure in difficult situations.
• You should be able to inspire employees and enjoy working in a team. The employer places great emphasis on personal suitability.
• Areas of responsibility are included in the position.
• Ability to work with IT support and good computer skills are required.
• A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
