Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal healthcare, you will lead the nursing work in healthcare for residents in ordinary housing. You will collaborate with care assistants, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. You will also cooperate with primary care, inpatient care, and other actors based on a holistic view of the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes making your own assessments, taking samples, wound care, medication management, injections, diabetes care, palliative care, and other common tasks. You will be responsible for prescribing assistive devices, e.g., anti-decubitus mattresses. The work also includes disease prevention and management of complications such as falls, malnutrition, and mental health issues.

As a nurse, you will also mentor and train/delegate staff in nursing and healthcare interventions.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• You are a licensed nurse
• Driver's license (B)
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable Qualifications

• Specialist training in elderly care
• District nurse training
• Further education in dementia care
• Previous experience in municipal healthcare
• Other relevant further education for the position

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Scheduled working hours are 38.25 hours/week, mostly daytime. Weekend and evening shifts occur, currently every 5th weekend plus about 7 early and evening shifts within 10 weeks.
