Mora is a town close to nature and mountains that invites outdoor activities and an active leisure year-round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute hospitals. The catchment area has about 80,000 inhabitants, but outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre, as well as large sporting events both summer and winter, bring in large tourist flows. At Mora Hospital, you will find the comfort of a small hospital while it serves as a trauma hospital. The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Surgery (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), and Sterile Technology. Currently, we have 5 beds in the ICU, where we care for about 1,500 patients per year, of which about 600 are ICU patients. We have a close collaboration with other clinics in the hospital.

Job Responsibilities

We offer a permanent position in the Intensive Care Unit in Mora, provided that you pursue specialist training in intensive care within the next few years. You will have an experienced intensive care nurse as a mentor. As a registered nurse, you will independently care for patients with less complex care needs. More complex patients will be cared for together with a specialist nurse. The intensive care nurse is responsible for advanced nursing of patients with threatening or manifest failure in vital functions due to severe medical conditions, accidents, and advanced postoperative care. We have individualized schedule planning, and we currently work 2 out of 5 weekends. Region Dalarna offers a generous wellness allowance, and we apply a wellness hour of 1 hour/week (when the operation allows). The ICU also actively works to be a health-promoting workplace!

Qualifications

The requirements are that you:

• are a licensed nurse
• have worked continuously equivalent to at least 80% of full-time in inpatient care/emergency care during the last 12 months (maternity leave or sick leave is exempt from this requirement)

Meritorious:

• the number of years worked in inpatient care

We are looking for someone who is positive and meticulous, has a patient-focused approach, and a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You should also be able to express yourself easily in Swedish, both spoken and written, and work in a digital medical record system. Your multitasking ability and stress resistance are good, and you have the ability to keep many balls in the air. We also see that you have good collaboration skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good working environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and previous references.
