Do you want to work in a stimulating and developing environment where you make a difference for children and young people with disabilities? The Child Rehabilitation Department in Dalarna is looking for an engaged occupational therapist who wants to be part of our competent and interdisciplinary team. We prefer the placement to be in Falun or Borlänge, but we are open to discussions about other solutions.

The Child Rehabilitation Department is a specialist service within Region Dalarna and is located in five places in the county. We work in teams with broad expertise in medicine, psychology, pedagogy, and social work. Our mission is to provide individuals with congenital or early-acquired disabilities with comprehensive specialist interventions to achieve the best possible functional ability and quality of life.
We value continuous professional development, innovation, and close collaboration between our professions. We are now looking for a new colleague for our occupational therapist group at the Child Rehabilitation Department!
Job Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work closely with the child, family, and our interdisciplinary team to promote activity and participation in everyday life.
Your main job responsibilities include:
- assessment and training of activity ability in everyday environments such as home, school, and leisure activities.
- prescribing aids and writing certificates for, for example, LSS and housing adaptations.
- education and guidance for children, relatives, and other professionals.
- collaboration with schools, municipalities, and health care to create the best conditions for the child.
- participation in method development and experience exchange with occupational therapists within the region.
You will receive an individualized introduction, guidance, and mentor support to ensure a safe start with us.

Additional Information
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- is a licensed occupational therapist and has an interest in rehabilitation and disabilities.
- has good collaboration skills and enjoys working both in teams and independently.
- has strong communication skills and builds trusting relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
- has a B driver's license - as travel in the job may occur.
Meritorious:
- has experience in rehabilitation or working with children and young people with disabilities.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
