Your New Job

As a teaching assistant with us, you will primarily work with individual students who need support in social interactions and/or focus to succeed throughout the school day. You will also be available for other students nearby.

During school hours, you will collaborate with experienced and responsible teachers, and during leisure time, you will work with skilled leisure teachers. A special educator is available to guide you in your role.

Your tasks will be shaped based on the individual needs and development of the students. You will build trusting relationships with the students you work with and help develop their social skills and self-confidence.

Welcome to Us

Lekeryd School is a K-6 school located in the community of Lekeryd, with a large catchment area extending into the countryside towards neighboring municipalities such as Aneby and Nässjö. We have approximately 340 wonderful students. We are a school that is currently expanding, with the next step being to create a larger cafeteria and move our library into the main school building.

Here, you will find competent and positive colleagues who work closely together. Our guiding principles have become "Collaboration and Consensus", which clearly describes what we aim to achieve.

The school is situated near forests and nature, within walking distance to sports fields and playgrounds. It is natural for us to use the outdoor environment as part of the leisure center's teaching.

Your Qualifications

• You are an experienced teaching assistant and accustomed to working with challenging students.
• You have a low-arousal approach and are a clear leader.
• You see collegial collaboration as a natural part of the work, ensuring that students have a clear path to follow.
• You are flexible and can use your experience to resolve situations constructively and sustainably.

You have basic IT skills and good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
