Your new job

At Fagerslätt School F-6, we are looking for a lead teacher focusing on leisure home who will be an important part of the school's joint development work to improve students' goal fulfillment and develop the leisure home activities. You will primarily work with teaching in the leisure home and tasks related to teaching. In your teaching, you will demonstrate good models and be a positive role model for the team in everyday pedagogical work, and develop quality work together with colleagues. You will have a key role in collegial learning.

In your role, you will have a holistic perspective on students' development and learning, and provide them with opportunities to learn in new, creative ways and apply their skills in practice. You ensure that the leisure home is an important complement to students' schooling and work to develop their abilities, social development, and self-confidence.

As a lead teacher in the leisure home, you will work with school management and other lead teachers at the school to develop the pedagogical activities of the leisure home based on the curriculum and improve teaching to strengthen students' learning, safety, and well-being. You will play a key role in leading collegial learning within the leisure home and act as a mentor for new educators. Your assignment also involves being proactive in the systematic quality work based on your own experience and scientific grounds. You share your experiences and enjoy working in a goal-oriented environment based on curiosity and playfulness among our students, focusing on their needs, interests, and experiences. You create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and promote a good learning environment that meets students during their leisure time.

Your qualifications

You have worked as a certified teacher focusing on leisure home for at least four years. You are flexible and can work in different teams and across the municipality. Basic IT skills are required, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching. As an employee, you easily adopt a holistic perspective but also have the ability to see each individual. You have good collaboration skills and are solution-oriented. A student-centered approach is a prerequisite for succeeding in the assignment, and we assume that “students do right if they can.” You have a good ability to build relationships with both colleagues, guardians, and students.

Good to know

The assignment is a three-year appointment, where you have a permanent position as a teacher at the base.
