Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we are stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, better utilize resources, improve quality, and provide better service to our residents. Today, we have a range of different operations working for the benefit of the entire Högland.

One of the operations within Höglandsförbundet is Höglandsgymnasiet. Höglandsgymnasiet has schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have about 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in the workforce or for further studies.

We are looking for a high school teacher in business economics, law, and similar subjects for Aleholmsgymnasiet in Sävsjö.

Your new job

We are seeking a high school teacher for teaching within program-specific courses in the economics program, where you will teach business economics and law, among other subjects. As part of your position, you are also expected to help drive and develop the economics program at Aleholm together with your dedicated colleagues. You will also participate in the subject team within Höglandsgymnasiet to further develop subject teaching.

Collaboration and co-planning with colleagues in the work team and subject team occur continuously. We strive to achieve a holistic view of students' knowledge development and needs. Meeting each student from a relational perspective and having high, reasonable expectations for each individual is fundamental to us.

The position likely also includes being a mentor, which involves close collaboration with student health services and the principal to support students' development and achievement of goals. Your work will be an important part of helping students grow and succeed.

About you

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to structure, plan, and prioritize their work. You take responsibility for your own planning and drive your own teaching forward in accordance with the curriculum and other governing documents. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate with your colleagues on issues of subject development, student interventions, and other matters that require all functions at the school to work as a team. You create and maintain good relationships, communicate clearly, and have the ability to adapt your message based on the recipient and where they are in their own development. At our school, many different cultures meet, which is why it is important that you thrive in a multicultural environment.

We want you to have a teaching degree with qualifications to teach at the high school level in business economics and/or law or similar subjects. It is an advantage if you are also qualified in other subjects. Previous experience working as a teacher in high school and teaching business economics and/or law is an asset.

As of January 1, Aleholm is part of Höglandsgymnasiet, a collaboration between high schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda, which now all belong to Höglandsförbundet. Good to know

The position is 80-100% and may be filled before the application deadline, so do not wait to apply. The latest start date is at the beginning of the autumn term in August, but there is an opportunity to start earlier.
