Linnéskolan is looking for someone who wants to help shape tomorrow's school and after-school care in Eksjö. Linnéskolan is located in the heart of the city with approximately 320 students from preschool to grade 6. The school's central location creates good opportunities to utilize the municipality's offerings in culture, sports, and parks. About 50 educators and other key personnel work at the school, with the shared goal that all students should feel good, be safe, and succeed in their studies. The school's work is characterized by a culture of collaboration where we willingly share and help each other.

The after-school care at Linnéskolan is currently divided into two departments, a larger department for preschool up to grade 2 and a department for students from grade 3 and above. Over the year, we have developed clubs based on students' interests, including clubs around MineCraft, Pokemon, drama, and other areas of interest that have emerged from the students. The after-school care employs Eksjö Municipality's lead teachers in after-school care, which means that a focus on development is a significant part of after-school care both at Linnéskolan and in the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care, your mission is to create situations where students succeed, develop, and thrive together with your colleagues. You and your colleagues should stimulate students' development and learning, placing great emphasis on creating meaningful leisure time for students at Linnéskolan's after-school care.

You are responsible for planning, teaching, documenting, and following up on the education in after-school care together with your colleagues both within and between departments based on our governing documents.

During the school day, we work to ensure that your skills are utilized effectively. This may involve everything from implementing recess activities, creating a sense of safety in the classroom, to supporting students during lessons and transitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a primary school teacher degree with a focus on after-school care, or alternatively, a trained leisure educator with work experience in the field or a recent graduate. Applicants with other educational qualifications may also be considered. Experience working in after-school care is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for and develop the after-school activities at the school.

You have a good understanding of the national governing documents for after-school care and are confident in your relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from the principle of equal value for all and create a good atmosphere in interactions. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to take place. With your commitment, you create motivation, and each student is met based on their conditions, and you have a good understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge.

With a positive attitude, you focus on the student's ability to develop socially and academically in your collaboration with other teaching categories at the school. You have clear communication, understand the importance of being a team player, and contribute with a positive spirit. You are flexible, proactive, and have a solution-oriented focus on the operations with the student's development and best interests in mind.
