Your new job

Our school is growing, so we are expanding our team with an additional teacher for after school care! As a teacher in after school care within the Hovslätt school area, you will have the opportunity, together with experienced colleagues, to drive development and pedagogical issues and participate in leading collegial learning.

You will primarily work with teaching in after school care but also collaborate with teachers during the school day.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the pedagogical work in after school care.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on activities that strengthen the connection to the curriculum goals and other governing documents in the primary school's mission.
• Have a holistic perspective on students' development and learning.
• Provide students with opportunities to learn in new creative ways and apply knowledge in practice.
• Ensure that after school care is a valuable complement to students' schooling.
• Develop students' abilities, social development, and self-confidence.
• Build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Promote a good learning environment that meets students during their leisure time.

Welcome to us

The Hovslätt school area, consisting of Hovslätt School and Grästorps School, is located just south of Jönköping's city center. Hovslätt School is a K-6 school with approximately 410 students and 60 staff, while Grästorps School is a K-3 school with around 110 students and 15 staff.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher in after school care. You have a strong interest and good knowledge of pedagogical issues and keep yourself updated on the latest research in the field. Experience working in after school care or in schools is an advantage. Basic IT skills are a requirement.

We want you to be a good leader, both in the classroom and collegially, and for your positive attitude to influence those you meet. You meet students and guardians professionally and communicate responsibly. As a teacher, it is important that you collaborate well with school management and develop shared leadership at the workplace, as well as being a good ambassador for both the workplace and the teaching profession. You are flexible and can work in different teams.
