The Eastern Area is undergoing exciting development regarding language and knowledge-enhancing methods in preschool (SKUA). We have a preschool teacher with a central role for all preschools in the municipality and targeted initiatives in the Eastern Area. Now you have the opportunity to join our team at one of the preschools in the area, namely Bullerbyn. The Bullerbyn preschool has just moved into new premises. Our new facilities have been created together with the children to invite many exciting discoveries for both children and adults.

You will be part of a team where you collaborate well with the entire preschool. Together, we work with so-called “zones,” meaning that the preschool's premises are divided based on different subject areas. RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the preschool teacher involves a special pedagogical responsibility to plan, implement, document, and evaluate the education based on the Education Act, curriculum, and operational plan.

  • Provide each child with safe care and promote all children's development and learning.
  • Ensure that each child has real influence over methods and content.
  • Ensure that the content, design, and implementation of development discussions align with national goals.
  • Create good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.
  • Plan, implement, and develop teaching based on the goals in the curriculum.
  • Be responsible for teaching and ensure that education is documented, followed up, analyzed, and evaluated so that each child and group’s needs are met.
  • Include children's thoughts and enable real influence in both planning and evaluation.
  • Work to provide a good learning environment for development, play, and learning.
  • Have an intercultural approach and see everyone's differences as an asset.
  • Recognize and affirm the strengths and abilities of children and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher.

As a preschool teacher, you have a good understanding of the governing documents that form the basis for preschool work. You are responsible and knowledgeable about systematic quality work. You have a positive attitude, good collaboration skills, and you communicate from a solution-focused perspective in every interaction with colleagues, children, and guardians. You are open to learning from others and contribute your own knowledge and experience. Your pedagogical relationships are based on responsiveness and dialogue.

As a person, you should be flexible and actively work with your colleagues to make the operations safe, calm, educational, exciting, and fun for our children. You have good collaboration skills where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and meet people with empathy and compassion in your daily work. You are engaged, have a positive attitude, and value children's thoughts and ideas to create playful, stimulating, and challenging learning environments. You have a good ability to meet each child based on their abilities and are responsive and utilize these for continued development.
