Your New Job

We are looking for an engaged and positive teacher for one of our classes in grades 4-6. You will be part of a team that collectively shapes and develops the teaching at Ölmstad School.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the educational content of the teaching.
• Independently plan, conduct, and follow up on classroom instruction.
• Map students' knowledge levels and document their development.
• Ensure that education is conducted according to the curriculum and other governing documents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching.
• Develop students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence.
• Build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Contribute to a pleasant working environment at the school that promotes learning and development during students' school days.
• Mentorship for the class.

Welcome to Us

The school is located in the picturesque Ölmstad between Jönköping and Gränna. The school has about 240 students distributed across grades F-6. There is also an after-school program at the school. We are currently in an exciting process where we will soon be moving to new premises. The newly built school is expected to be completed by the turn of the year.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed teacher for grades 4-6. We welcome applications from those with a MA/NO focus, SV/SO focus, or if you have another subject combination. Good collaboration skills and flexibility are important qualities for your new job.

Examples of Qualification Requirements:

• Qualified teacher with a teaching license for grades F-3 or 4-6, or a candidate who has not yet received their teaching license or is in the final stages of their education.
• Well-grounded in the primary school's mission and its governing documents.
• Experience in teaching and working with students is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Basic IT skills.
