Brogården
We are expanding our operations! We are entering an exciting new phase where, in addition to our investigations, we will also be responsible for the municipality's crisis support after child interviews. Therefore, we are increasing our workforce of family investigators with two permanent positions and a one-year temporary position. Does this sound interesting? We welcome your application!
Brogården is an operation within Uppsala municipality that works on behalf of social services and targets families with children aged 0–12 years. Common to most families that come to Brogården is that they are in a difficult social situation where deficiencies in the parents' caregiving ability have created concern for the children's care and development. The goal of all our work is to focus on the children's safety and development, as well as the development potential in the parent-child relationship. Overall, our work with children and their parents is to ensure that our work is carried out as predictably, safely, and legally as possible.
As an employee, you will notice our drive and investment in knowledge and skills development, through opportunities for further education and good supervision. We create internal projects to continuously develop, which fosters pride and engagement among us as employees in our daily work.
Your assignment
We often have the privilege of working with the whole family, which requires us to work from many different perspectives and handle complex issues. At Brogården, teamwork is important, and we collaborate closely around the families to achieve the best results. You and your team will work from a process-oriented approach to investigate and assess parents' caregiving ability and children's needs, as well as support parents in their parenting.
Our assignments may also involve receiving families in acute crisis situations. You will be responsible for planning and implementing the assignment concerning the family and for providing a written assessment. We strive to continuously develop our operations and its content. This means that we keep ourselves updated with current research and method development, and we would like you to participate in that work.
The assignment involves:
- being responsible for which methods and tools should be used to complete the assignment
- being responsible for investigative and supportive conversations as well as follow-ups with social services
- being responsible for the written final report
- participating and contributing to method development in the organization
- participating and contributing to a good working environment in the team and workgroup.
The work is scheduled and includes about one evening per week and every sixth weekend.
Your background
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or education in violence in close relationships. You have several years of experience working with investigating children and/or families within social services and experience with documentation. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license.
If you have basic psychotherapy training "Step 1", systemic theoretical training, or training in various treatment methods regarding violence, such as KIBB, project support, or safer children, this is considered an advantage. We would also like you to have experience working in institutions. It is a plus if you have knowledge of Lifecare and other languages.
As a person, you are a good analyst who is skilled at seeing connections and solving complex issues and problems. Furthermore, you are someone who is good at creating, maintaining, and developing work-related relationships. You collaborate well and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Last but not least, we are looking for someone who is good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.
