Childcare Worker at Edda Preschool AB

About the workplace:

Edda Preschool AB is an independent provider established in 2012 in southern Uppsala (Gottsunda) where we run three preschools inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our driving force is to make a difference for every child and provide them with a good education in their first educational journey. At our preschools, we place great emphasis on children's language development.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a trained childcare worker in our organization. You should have at least 2 years of experience working as a trained childcare worker in preschool.

The majority of our child groups have a different mother tongue than Swedish, therefore it is important that you as a childcare worker have experience working on language development together with your colleagues at the preschool. You must be able to speak very good Swedish as well as read and write fluent Swedish text; this is a requirement to ensure our children in preschool receive a good education.

You will work closely with preschool teachers, childcare workers, and other staff who are part of the work team to meet each child's needs. You should be well acquainted with the preschool's governing documents. You should be able to carry out planned activities with the children such as reading aloud, creative activities in various forms of expression, and be engaged during outdoor activities conducted daily.

You should have good communication with guardians and your colleagues at the preschool.

At Edda Preschool, we place great importance on collegial learning, so you need to participate in these meetings to help us together develop the preschool's teaching and education.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with children in need of special support.
