The Development and Management Unit 1, located in the IT department of the Swedish Transport Agency, is responsible for supporting our core operations within the Road and Railway and Vehicle Information departments.
Our teams are divided into product areas and have their own product owner who manages the backlog while the team, together with other roles, is responsible for how the solution should be designed and implemented.
As a software developer at the Swedish Transport Agency, you will be involved in developing efficient, smart, and sustainable solutions for Swedish society, working with both frontend and backend development. You will
Be part of an agile delivery team and work with software development in both maintenance and new development projects, and you feel comfortable using technologies such as C#, .Net Core, Blazor, Entity Framework, and other modern frameworks. As a software developer, you have a security-conscious approach and consider security aspects such as data protection, access control, and secure coding in your development work.
You must have
- a university degree in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- at least three years of current work experience in software development within the .NET platform
- at least two years of work experience with MS SQL
- at least three years of work experience with C#
- at least one year of work experience with both frontend and backend development
- experience working in an agile delivery team
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you also have
- MVC, Blazor, or Angular
- RabbitMQ
- integration technologies
- automated build management
- NServiceBus
- Entity Framework.

More information
The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Start date by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is the possibility to work remotely up to three days a week. It is the needs of the business and the nature of the tasks that determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Swedish Transport Agency
Number of employees: Approximately 2000.
Areas of operation: The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.
Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The head office is located in Norrköping.

About the IT department
The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.
We support all departments within the Swedish Transport Agency both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, software development, maintenance, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
