System Technician at the Swedish Armed Forces

We are currently seeking several system technicians with varying experience and skills.
Main Responsibilities
As a system technician, you play an important role where you, together with your colleagues in the team, are responsible for parts of the Armed Forces' IT systems. Your tasks include operation and management of systems, troubleshooting, various types of installations, backup management, optimization and modification of server environments, as well as maintaining the security of the systems. Reporting and documenting ongoing and completed work is seen as a natural part of the job. You will also be involved in planning and further development.
We work process-oriented (ITIL) with support from agile methods. The position entails continuous learning of new technologies and products, all in a spirit of strengthening Sweden's defense. If you want to spend time on environmental monitoring and in-depth problem analysis, that is possible.

Qualifications
- At least a high school education with a focus on IT/technology and/or experience that we consider equivalent
- At least two years of work experience in IT
- Current and relevant work experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- Experience with virtualization
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Swedish citizenship
- Driver's license at least class B
Meritorious
- Work experience with Microsoft Exchange
- Work experience with IP telephony
- Work experience with SQL
- Work experience with monitoring systems
- Knowledge of IT security, encryption, and certificates
- Experience working in government or public sector

Other
The employment form is a permanent civilian position full-time, starting with a 6-month probationary period for candidates who are currently not employed by the Armed Forces. The place of employment is Örebro. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Business trips may occur in the work.
