Bergslagens Rescue Service is in the midst of an exciting digital development, and the role of System Administrator/IT Operations Technician is perfect for you if you have an interest in problem-solving and smart technology. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, has good communication skills, and works proactively to identify and resolve issues. To succeed in this role, you need to be a responsible and structured person with a strong security mindset. Your ability to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English is crucial.

Bergslagens Rescue Service (BRT) is a municipal association in Eastern Värmland between Degerfors, Filipstad, Hällefors, Karlskoga, Kristinehamn, and Storfors municipalities with approximately 200 employees, 8 fire stations, and an Alarm Center. The Alarm Center receives various types of technical alarms from all six member municipalities within the association.

Overall assignment description:

• To ensure that IT systems and infrastructure operate smoothly and efficiently for the entire Bergslagens Rescue Service.
• Work with both hardware and software to support and optimize daily operations.

Examples of tasks:

• Management and maintenance of technical equipment, servers, operating systems, and software applications to ensure they are updated and functioning without issues.
• Programming and administration of customer-specific alarm solutions.
• Identification and resolution of technical problems that users or systems may encounter.
• Implementation and monitoring of security measures to ensure that alerting and other functions have the highest possible security and redundancy.
• Participate in the work with our network infrastructure.
• Participate in the organization's information security work.
• Document configurations, solutions to problems, and changes made in the system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 3 years of experience as a system administrator and/or IT Operations Technician.
• Post-secondary education in IT or computer science or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working with Windows systems and services.
• Experience in IT security including firewall configuration and security policies.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license (B)

This position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection.

Working hours:

Daytime 38.75 hours per week. We apply flexible working hours and offer exercise hours during paid working time.

Start date: by agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
