About the Department

The position belongs to the security department of the staff, which is mainly divided between Örebro and Enköping, and you will be part of our team at the location that suits you best. You will work with the unit's IT security manager and other employees in the IT security section, where you are a vital part of developing the unit's capabilities in information and cyber security. There are several specialists in the field distributed within the Armed Forces' units with whom you will collaborate closely.

Main Responsibilities

You will be part of an engaged and qualified team passionate about information and cyber security, reporting to the unit's IT security manager. Your work primarily aims to protect some of the most sensitive information in our country, both in peace and war. The work spans the entire spectrum; people, technology, and administration. New threats and risks in the environment are discovered daily, and our ambition level in protecting against these is the highest possible.

Your role includes, among other things:

• managing subprocesses within information security and IT security within the unit, which includes developing and maintaining governing and central documents (policies, procedures, and instructions) and training colleagues in the area
• supporting preparations, security analyses, and accreditation of technical systems as an expert
• participating in and conducting internal controls and audits
• collaborating with personnel in the field from the entire Armed Forces
• analyzing regulations and decisions
• providing support in the area of security protection

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• relevant post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge that the employer assesses as equivalent
• broad competence in the area of security protection in general and IT and information security in particular
• experience in the field of information security in roles such as security officer, information security specialist, CISO, or similar position
• good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing
• driver's license (minimum B)

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this position, you need to easily collaborate with others, demonstrate integrity, and have the ability to create and maintain trust. You do not need to be an expert in technology, although a strong interest in technology and the willingness to learn more in the field will help you tackle our challenges. You take initiative and can independently drive your work to completion. Furthermore, you are organized, meticulous, and security-conscious. It is important that you have an analytical and structured ability and approach tasks with a holistic perspective. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

• certifications in e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM
• experience of systematic information security work in accordance with the ISO 27000 series
• experience in conducting training and giving lectures
• knowledge of confidentiality legislation and information classification
• current or previous employment in the Armed Forces or another government agency in a security service position
• experience working in the Armed Forces' support systems (for example, PRIO, Vidar, ISUS)
