The position is located within the Administration for Business Support and Services, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. This administration brings together the municipality's internal services and support functions. We contribute to the development of municipal operations and create cross-municipal service solutions.
To the Staff Department of the Education Administration, we are now looking for a Development Manager who can act as the link between operations, technology, and people.
The position is centrally located within the Education Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. Your responsibilities
As a Development Manager, in the role of Object Manager for the area of Education, Culture, and Leisure, you will have a leading role in Linköping Municipality's steering and coordination model for digitalization. You will be a central link between operations and technology. Through collaboration, dialogue, and a clear focus on operational benefit, you will contribute to turning ideas and needs into reality.
You are responsible for planning and coordinating the work, as well as preparing a related budget, which you will also monitor. The goal is to work according to portfolio management, which means prioritizing between needs, initiatives, and projects.
In this role, you will work closely with managers, operational specialists, project managers, and representatives from the municipality's IT department, such as system administrators, IT developers, and IT project managers. You will also collaborate with functions from other administrations with similar roles.
In this job, you will have the opportunity to work in a daily routine where you move between strategic, tactical, and sometimes operational work. You will be driving change, following up on procurement and implementation projects, and thrive in a role where you lead without necessarily being a line manager.
Your workplace
The Case Handling, Board, and Digitalization Unit belongs to the Staff Department at the central Education Office. Together, we are 12 people with different competencies delivering on various areas of responsibility. The unit covers areas such as information and case handling, object management, AI, as well as the diary and board work. We work together with approximately 150 other colleagues in activity-based office spaces centrally located directly adjacent to Stora Torget (the Main Square).
You who apply
We are looking for you who have an academic technical or philosophical university degree at the master's level, for example, as a civil engineer, master of science in economics, in systems science, informatics, or a similar direction that the employer deems relevant.
Requirements:
- Experience in strategic coordination, portfolio management, or a similar role at the interface between IT and operations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
- Experience in quality development and change management.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Knowledge of IT systems and a good understanding of business and system architecture.
