Do you want to combine leadership with development work that strengthens students' prerequisites and the quality of education? We are now looking for a coordinator with a managerial assignment for the Study Administration Unit at Linköping University.

About the job

In the role of Unit Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, working environment, and budget. You lead and develop the unit towards set goals and create good conditions for employee development.

The assignment also involves:

  • leading and developing work within study administrative processes, particularly related to degree issues
  • coordinating, developing, and following up on work with system administration and IT services for students
  • contributing to the preparation of decision-making materials and local guidelines
  • collaborating closely with faculties and departments

An important part of the assignment is to drive and develop student-strategic issues, for example by:

  • contributing to the development of students' prerequisites and experience through educational administrative processes
  • analyzing needs and proposing measures that strengthen throughput, legal certainty, student influence, and service
  • supporting the Director of Study Administration with the Student Council and collaborating with other parts of the Student Division in strategic development initiatives
  • translating overarching goals into concrete development efforts within the unit's area of responsibility

You are part of the Student Division's management group and contribute to the joint work of developing operations.

About you

We are looking for you who are a confident and engaging leader with the ability to create involvement, engagement, and trust. You find it easy to collaborate and build good, long-term relationships in a complex organization. At the same time, you have a holistic perspective and can switch between strategic issues and operational work. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, and are driven by developing operations, working methods, and solutions in line with the needs of the operations.

We want you to have:

  • an academic degree in a field that the employer deems relevant
  • documented managerial or leadership experience
  • experience in reading and interpreting laws and regulations
  • worked with strategic student issues or educational development
  • very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

  • leading change and development work
  • working with study administration within the higher education sector
  • working with administrative management or system administration
  • conducting investigation and analysis work

Your workplace

The Study Administration Unit plays a central role in developing and coordinating the university's study administrative processes. The unit works in close collaboration with faculties, departments, and other parts of the operations.

We are responsible, among other things, for the development of study administrative processes, management of IT services related to students' education, handling of disciplinary cases, and management of degree and study documentation in Ladok.

About the employment

Full-time. Permanent. The managerial assignment is time-limited and renewed every third year.

Commencement of employment as agreed.

Linköping University applies individual and differentiated salary setting in accordance with the current collective agreement (RALS/RALS-T) and the university's guidelines for salary formation.
