Then you might be the person we are looking for in the Technical Intelligence Land unit.

About the position

On behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces and the government, FMV conducts technical intelligence services on land, in the air, and at sea, to support Swedish foreign, security, and defense policy and to map external threats to the country. The work is carried out within the framework of the government's guidelines for defense intelligence activities.

As an intelligence analyst, you will play a key role in mapping and analyzing the technical systems of foreign land combat forces, with a focus on command, control, and electronic warfare. You will conduct qualified analyses, studies, tests, and trials to create an understanding of technical capabilities and development trends in the field. The work combines theoretical analysis with practical tasks and offers variety in both duties and working methods. The work is carried out both independently and in project form.

The role also includes planning and conducting training and lectures within your specialist area as well as adjacent fields. The position may become physically and mentally demanding, and to give you the best possible conditions, you will undergo several internal training courses during the initial period.

The position is located in Stockholm and the work is performed on-site. Travel occurs regularly in the position, both within and outside Sweden. Therefore, you need to be prepared to undergo vaccinations that may be required as part of the position.

About you

We are looking for you who have a university degree or a Master of Science in Engineering in electrical engineering, technical physics, IT, or equivalent education or competence that FMV considers relevant. Furthermore, you have current experience from working with technical issues within the command, control, or electronic warfare areas, with knowledge of the technology, hardware, and software used in the defense sector. You also need to have good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, as well as a valid driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have experience from working in different international contexts and cultures, preferably with a broad network. If you have experience from working in a military environment, preferably within the intelligence community, this is also meritorious and will help you succeed in the role. If you have language skills in Russian, it is a plus. We also appreciate that you have experience driving smaller projects.
