In customer service, we work broadly to answer questions concerning the entire agency's operations. The Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) aims to prevent over-indebtedness, and we help customers do the right thing from the start by providing information in a simple way. Customer service handles a high volume of inquiries, and to succeed in this role, you must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
About the job
At Kronofogden, we want to help customers do the right thing from the start. As a case handler in customer service, you are often our customers' first point of contact with the agency. You meet many people who need our help every day. You work with a wide variety of questions across several different operational systems.
You answer inquiries from customers with diverse backgrounds via both phone and email. We have a high volume of inquiries, and you will handle approximately 50 emails and 50 phone calls per day. We handle questions concerning the entire agency's operations, and you will undergo training that provides you with the prerequisites to understand our mission and operations.
Everyone who works at Kronofogden contributes to the fight against crime. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity by signaling this to our core processes. As a case handler, you can, for example, identify, act upon, and document contacts with customers who are victims of economic violence in intimate relationships. This can result in you contributing to crime prevention.
The location of the position is Östersund.

Your qualifications:
- Final grade from upper secondary education (high school).
- Worked for at least twelve consecutive months during the last five years providing service at a high pace via phone, email (or other digital channels).
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Good ability to understand and express yourself in English.
It is desirable that you have current work experience in complex customer service. It is also desirable that you have current work experience in handling difficult calls with people in vulnerable life situations.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case handler and work according to a schedule. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work after agreement with the employer.
Working in the state sector means you follow the government's values. There are also special requirements regarding judgment, security awareness, and adherence to current laws. We ask questions during the interview regarding any previous criminality and deficiencies in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of reference persons. We also obtain information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business bans. Disclosed information is weighed into the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.
A position with us may involve placement in a security class. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. Swedish citizenship is required for some of our security-classed tasks.
