Annually, Falkenberg Municipality purchases goods, services, and contracts worth millions of crowns. Therefore, efficient, business-minded, and strategic procurement and tendering work is an important tool for achieving the municipality's goals and contributing to sustainable development. Today, we are a department consisting of 15 people. In addition to five other procurement specialists, a Head of Procurement, and a Head of Purchasing and Procurement, we also have a Head of E-commerce, an E-commerce Coordinator, an E-commerce Administrator, a Purchasing Analyst, a Contract Controller, a Purchaser specializing in direct procurement, and two Development Managers within sustainability.

We are now looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team, who, together with us, wants to strengthen and contribute to the implementation of good, sustainable business practices.

Job Responsibilities

The role of Procurement Specialist involves stimulating, developmental, and enjoyable work where you will be offered challenging and engaging tasks with the opportunity to make a big difference and to develop yourself and our operations in the field of purchasing and procurement, with a focus on business efficiency. The role includes actively working on and proposing developments and improvements for how we can develop our processes related to purchasing and procurement.

As a Procurement Specialist, you work as an independent project manager and assist our departments and companies throughout the entire procurement process, from needs and market analysis, procurement strategy, to the actual procurement work. Coordinating procurements with other municipalities in the county is also part of the procurement specialist's duties. Active and continuous contract follow-up, as well as advice on procurement and contract matters to the various operations within the municipal group, are also included in the role.

The dialogue with our departments, companies, and suppliers is crucial and is an important part of your daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are ready to develop our purchasing and procurement work. Therefore, we see that you are a person with good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and who actively explores new perspectives within the framework of procurement regulations. Of course, you have conducted your own procurements of varying complexity and character. Experience from municipalities and/or municipal companies is meritorious. We also expect you to have higher education at the university level or a university college degree in procurement, IT, law, or other education that the employer considers comparable. Project management experience and good process understanding are also skills we appreciate.

This position involves largely the procurement of IT – both systems, hardware, and services – and we therefore appreciate that you have experience in procurement within this area. Qualified procurement work in other areas also occurs.

Your previous experience in the field means you can quickly get into the work. It is important that you are self-reliant and have a structured approach to planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently. Since the tasks place high demands on quality, constructive problem-solving, and business acumen, it is a prerequisite that you are meticulous and have good analytical skills. You are unpretentious, driven, and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships.

You have good communication skills, both orally and in writing in Swedish, but preferably also in English. You can explain what you want to convey from different perspectives and for different target groups. You are comfortable participating in and leading various forums with both internal and external actors. Through dialogue, inclusion, and creativity, you inspire and motivate others.
