As a Procurement and Tendering Strategist, you will have a central role in developing and strengthening our procurement and tendering work. Together with your colleague, you will be responsible for ensuring business-like and sustainable procurement while developing our working methods, supplier collaborations, and contract strategies.

In this role, there is a particular focus on supplier follow-up and business development. You will work closely with our suppliers to follow up on contracts, ensure that agreed terms are met, and identify opportunities for improvements, efficiencies, and increased business benefit. You will drive dialogues, conduct negotiations, and build long-term relationships that create value for both the operations and our partners.

You will also plan and conduct tenders, provide support to the organization in procurement and contract matters, and contribute to developing processes and routines in the area. The role involves many contact points both internally and externally and offers great opportunities to influence how we at Varberg Energi work with strategic procurement moving forward.

You belong to the Business Support department and report to the HR Director.

We are looking for you with experience in strategic procurement, tendering, or business development, who thrives in the borderland between business, relationships, and structure. You have a university or college education in areas such as procurement, law, or another relevant direction. Perhaps you have worked in the public sector and thereby gained insight into regulations such as LOU or LUF – but you may just as well have built your competence within business or other industries. Experience in contract law is seen as an advantage, but not a requirement.

We believe that you appreciate doing business and creating long-term collaborations. You are skilled at building trust, have an easy dialogue with suppliers, and dare to question established ways of working to find new, better solutions. You also have the ability to analyze contracts, costs, and business setups to identify improvement opportunities. Following up that suppliers deliver according to agreed terms regarding price, quality, and delivery times, as well as handling ongoing questions and changes, you see as a natural part of your work.

As a person, you are proactive, communicative, and relationship-building. You are driven by creating results together with others and are motivated by seeing the effects of well-executed procurement work over time.

Experience from the energy sector is not a requirement; we welcome those who have built their experience in other industries and are curious to learn more and develop within the energy sector.
