As a Sales Associate at Coop Gallerian, you will become an important part of the daily operations of the store. In close contact with both food and customers, you and your colleagues create a welcoming and inspiring store environment. The work is varied and practical, where you, together with the team, are responsible for ensuring the store is fresh and well-stocked every day.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in food, service, and retail work, who thrives in an environment where the pace is often fast and tasks vary. You are meticulous, responsible, and confident in handling stressful situations when needed. The work is physical and involves heavy lifting, which you see as a natural part of daily life in a grocery store. Above all, you are a team player who enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive and energetic atmosphere among both colleagues and customers.

Your main responsibilities

• Provide world-class service – always see, greet, and help the customer.
• Ensure that shelves, counters, and freezers are well-stocked, fresh, and fronted.
• Create sales-oriented displays.
• Work at the checkout.
• Handle food products.
• Process complaints and customer inquiries.
• Maintain neatness and order in the store's various departments.
• Assist with light cleaning, maintenance, and care of equipment.
• Follow routines regarding shrinkage, hygiene, and safety.
• Contribute to a good work climate and actively participate in improvement work.

Depending on the store's needs, the position may also include:

• Product orders and receiving checks.
• Price changes, shelf-edge labels, and campaign signage.
• Work in service areas such as delicatessen, bakery, or fruit & vegetables.
• Handling CAO (Customer Account Officer) tasks.

The position is a part-time employment averaging 5 hours/week (probationary employment applies). Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends. Start date is by agreement. Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Requirements

• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are required.
• Must be 18 years or older as you will work independently at the checkout.

Merits:

• Experience and competence from retail and/or other service professions are meritorious.
• High school education.
• Multilingualism.
• Basic knowledge of store economics or food handling.
• Punctuality.
