About the Workplace

Solhem is a care and support residence located in the northernmost part of the municipality, near the border with Småland. Solhem is a small residence with 16 apartments situated in the idyllic village of Loshult. To get to Solhem, you must have access to a car as public transport does not align with our working hours.

Job Responsibilities

• You work with person-centered care and handle delegated tasks.
• Plan and develop work together within the team.
• Create and follow implementation plans.
• Have areas of responsibility or acting roles.
• Work actively with night routines, BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia), and Senior Alert.

Qualifications

• Educated as a Care Assistant (Undersköterska) with a protected professional title.
• Documented experience in care and support work.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to read and document journal notes in the systems required by the operation.
• Good teamwork skills and a flexible attitude.
• Solution-focused and accustomed to making independent decisions.
• Ability to accept delegated tasks after operation-specific training.
• Personal suitability for night work.
• Category B driving license (mandatory as public transport does not fit working hours).
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Employment Terms

Type of Employment: Permanent position (Tillsvidareanställning).

Duration: The position is temporary. Solhem opened in 2022 and is planned to remain open for a couple of more years. In the event of the closure of the residence, you will retain your position in Osby Municipality and be offered work in one of our other operations in Osby or Lönsboda.

Start Date: 2026-09-07 or by agreement.

Other Information

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the operation.
