Our Offer

Job Description

Here, over 100 employees work in teams around the patient, handling both planned and emergency surgeries around the clock.

You will become an important part of maintaining our high quality and accessibility in an operation where collaboration, competence, and engagement are at the center. We do not have explicit section work but want everyone to have broad competence and readiness to act to handle on-call duties.

You will take care of both emergency operations and planned surgeries.

As a Scrub Nurse, you are responsible for the patient's nursing care and safety before, during, and after surgical interventions. You prepare the operating room by checking medical technology equipment, setting up sterile instruments, and ensuring that all necessary materials are available.

During the operation, you work closely with the surgeon and assist with the right instruments at the right time, while also being responsible for hygiene and asepsis in the operating room. You instrument, ensure the patient is in the correct position, and check that all instruments, swabs, and materials are counted before, during, and after the procedure to guarantee patient safety.

Our operational development is largely based on employees themselves contributing solutions; engagement and time for responsibility work are distributed proportionally in relation to what the operation prioritizes.

Since we receive students from several different educations, responsibility for supervision at different levels is included.

Work Group

Every day you work with the patient together with an anesthetist nurse, assistant nurse, specialized assistant nurse, as well as an anesthesiologist and surgeons.

The work group is stable, and there is enormous experience within all professional categories.

We want everyone to be ready to contribute to making their colleagues better, and therefore we have high demands on treatment, communication, feedback, and teamwork.

We are currently in an exciting period where we are getting new, fresh premises. The renovation is taking place in parallel with our ongoing operations, which will affect our daily lives in various ways until everything is ready in 2030.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with specialized education in surgical care.

We would like you to have previous experience as a Scrub Nurse, preferably from highly specialized care. Previous experience of emergency care and 24/7 work is meritorious. If you have education in treatment, communication, or teamwork, we see this as an advantage.

Good Swedish language skills are required in speech and writing as you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, as well as document in the journal.

You work in a cross-professional team together with surgeons, anesthetist nurses, and assistant nurses in a high-tech environment with varying tasks. The work requires a good ability to handle unforeseen situations, prevent complications, and document the care work.

We are looking for you who have a handle on the big picture, take responsibility for what you do, and act based on what is best for the operation. You are good at planning and prioritizing, make quick and well-thought-out decisions, and get things done. You work well with others, communicate in an open and listening manner, and solve any conflicts in a decent and constructive way. We will therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability. Even when a lot is going on, you keep your cool, focus on the right things, and adapt to the situation to contribute to a secure and stable care environment.
