There are a total of five work groups during the day and evening, working geographically divided across the entire municipality, including a home support team focused on dementia/psychiatry. Under the same roof, we also have a night patrol, and in adjacent premises, you will find the municipality's Home Healthcare. The Home Care Service in Vadstena Municipality has two staffing coordinators who handle daily user planning, staff scheduling, and administration. Additionally, there is a staffing planner and a digital assistant nurse here. There are also two unit managers who share responsibility and are present on-site in the operations daily.

Job Responsibilities

Work within the home care service involves performing interventions under several different legal frameworks; we perform interventions both under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) in the user's own home. This means you provide good care and service to the care recipient with high quality. Regardless of the legal framework, our work involves focusing on the individual and basing our actions on their wishes and needs. We do this by following the national value base, working with a dedicated care contact, and through good and close collaboration within the municipality with, for example, nurses and social workers.

A rehabilitative approach, where you motivate and stimulate the individual, is a necessity for working here with us.

Documentation is part of the assignment. It is important that information is passed on, which means you need to be computer literate and able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. The employment includes acquiring and maintaining an HSL-delegation according to the Health and Medical Services Act to be able to perform interventions related to this legal framework.

Vadstena Municipality has been on a "full-time journey" for a few years now – Full-time as the norm. This means the operations offer all employees full-time positions. The operations plan resource time for employees as needed, which may be worked in other work groups. The employment means you will be scheduled with rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are now looking for you who have at least one year of documented experience working in care and social services. It is particularly meritorious if you are trained as an assistant nurse and hold a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. A position with us requires that you have a good manner of dealing with people, are flexible and responsible, and have good empathetic skills towards both colleagues and users. We place great value on good teamwork skills, a positive outlook, and commitment to both users and co-workers.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as documentation and communication are a large part of the work. You are involved in taking responsibility for the development of the work group and have the ability to quickly adapt to changed conditions. You can independently prioritize tasks and remain calm even in stressful situations.

A B-driver's license and the ability to cycle are required, as we travel by car in the countryside and by bicycle in the city center.

Salary: Monthly salary.
