Daily activities under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) offer meaningful engagement for people with disabilities who are outside the regular labor market and not studying. The operations are based on the intentions of LSS legislation regarding good living conditions, participation, self-determination, and influence. The work takes place in close collaboration between deputy unit managers, work consultants, coordinators, support assistants, and external partners to create developing and inclusive environments for the participants.

Job Description
As a work consultant, you work to support people with disabilities in finding, developing, and maintaining meaningful engagement within daily activities under LSS. You map the participants' abilities, interests, and needs, and plan and coordinate individually adapted interventions. The work involves motivating, guiding, and supporting participants in their personal development towards increased independence, participation, and social community.
The role involves collaborating with participants, relatives, colleagues, authorities, workplaces, and other partners to create the best possible conditions for the individual's development. You are responsible for documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of interventions, and you actively work to ensure that participants are given influence over their daily lives and their individual goals. The work places high demands on professional treatment and a solution-focused approach.
You contribute to developing the operations by identifying new opportunities, creating meaningful activities, and building relationships with workplaces and other actors in society.
The role is varied and combines pedagogical support, coaching, and practical guidance with planning, coordination, and follow-up. Through your commitment and your ability to see the individual's strengths, you create conditions for each participant to develop their own abilities, interests, and goals.
Qualifications
Basic requirements for the position:
- Post-secondary education in social work, behavioral science, social pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
- Good computer skills and experience with digital documentation systems
- Good knowledge of legislation and regulations within LSS
- Documented experience of working with the target group within LSS
- Category B driver's license

Through a pedagogical and motivating working method, you create conditions for participation, independence, and development. You are responsive, relationship-building, and have the ability to build trusting relationships with participants, relatives, colleagues, and partners.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Training in low-affective treatment
- Training in clarifying pedagogy
- Knowledge of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
- Experience of work-oriented support, coaching, or collaboration with employers
- Training in Supported Employment or Supported Education
