About the position
We are now looking for an employee for the Region's Switchboard and future Contact Center. The recruitment concerns one telephone operator/receptionist position. The function currently consists of a total of 9 employees.
Responsibilities
The Region's Switchboard is a function within the Service Unit. You are responsible for handling customers' inquiries with the highest quality and service level via various contact channels such as telephone, email, and directly at the desk. The Region's Switchboard also handles several administrative services and staffs the large Hospital Reception and the Reception at the Region House.
The work is varied, and first-class service is paramount. Examples of tasks include:
- Answering incoming calls
- Connecting and transferring calls
- Internal and external information search
- Conducting searches for on-call personnel
- Facilitating or resolving tasks and providing service to employees and citizens
- Receiving and checking in visitors
As the operations develop, assignments and tasks will also be adapted to needs and demand.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have solid experience in service with a background in call centers, customer service, or similar operations, and documented experience in information and service work via telephone and digital tools. You are accustomed to searching for information in external and internal systems as well as via the internet.
Solving problems or finding information through systems new to you is a challenge you gladly take on. Stress tolerance and a solution-oriented mindset are prerequisites as the work periodically maintains a high pace. The work requires that you have the ability to change tempo and shift between fast service, information searching, and problem-solving depending on the inflow of tasks.
You should be comfortable providing support and guiding others in various digital environments. Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are necessary. To thrive in the tasks, an attentive and accommodating attitude is needed, along with a genuine interest and willingness to help and guide people. Providing service and always putting the customer at the center should be natural.
In the position, you will know and follow applicable laws, guidelines, and routines, as well as have an understanding of public access and secrecy regulations. You need to be able to thrive in an organization where change and development are part of everyday life. Your demeanor is positive and clearly combined with problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who is flexible, has patience, and shows understanding for each unique customer situation.
We work in teams and consider good collaboration skills, a high sense of responsibility, and punctuality to be important. For efficiency, a good understanding of Region Jämtland Härjedalen's overall organization and a sense of prioritization are required. Employees within the Region's Switchboard/Contact Center are expected to actively participate in and drive the development of operations, as well as review processes and flows with a critical eye. As needed, we cover for each other and work across boundaries within the Service Unit.
High school competence with an administrative focus is meritorious. Experience in comparable work is required. Great weight will be placed on your personal qualities.
