Experienced Developer – Build Robust Systems for Sweden's Infrastructure

At Trafikverket (The Swedish Transport Administration), we develop societal-critical technology that handles real-time data, integrates complex systems, and ensures the operation of Sweden's transport infrastructure.

We are now looking for experienced system developers who want to lead technical development, take responsibility for architectural decisions, and scale solutions with national impact. About the Role

As an experienced system developer, you will lead technical development throughout the entire chain, from requirements analysis and architectural design to implementation and scalable operations. You will play a key role in shaping our solutions and ensuring they are robust, scalable, and capable of handling high loads.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design and implement new features
• Develop and enhance backend and frontend systems
• Work on system integrations between different security domains
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making
• Develop systems that handle large datasets and high availability requirements
• Participate in on-call duties according to a rotating schedule

Here, you take responsibility for technical standards, drive improvement work, and contribute to ensuring our solutions meet future demands. We work in a cross-functional team where developers, architects, and business stakeholders jointly solve challenges that directly impact Sweden's transport infrastructure.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in an environment where system development, analysis, and collaboration go hand in hand. You work systematically and have a knack for getting into complex technical problems, analyzing requirements, and seeing connections in larger systems. You contribute to stable and long-term solutions through a methodical approach and the ability to make well-balanced decisions within your area of responsibility. You are curious and keep up to date in your field, which allows you to continuously develop in the role. You take initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of relevant work experience as a system developer
• Has experience with system integrations
• Has experience with development in C#/.Net
• Has a university or college degree of 180hp (120p) with a focus on IT, or other education combined with work experience we consider equivalent
• Has good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has good proficiency in English, both spoken and written
