We are now looking for an engaged network technician for our client, Fibr, in Edsbyn!
About the Role
Fibr is an innovative company in Edsbyn, Hälsingland, that develops and produces allergen-friendly energy bars rich in fiber and whole grains. With its own allergen-free bakery and a clear vision of inclusion, Fibr creates sustainable food products that everyone can enjoy. The company is now making a major push towards fully automated production and modern technology to continue driving innovation in the food industry.
Fibr's network infrastructure plays a central role in the larger system. It is the backbone that integrates and secures everything from the automated production lines to the business systems. Therefore, they are now ready to welcome a student to their technology team!
You will work closely with an engaged team that drives development forward together. In your role as a network technician, you will work on building, optimizing, and maintaining the network environment to ensure high operational reliability, quality, and integration in production. Responsibilities
The role involves being the link between the physical infrastructure and the company's digital systems. You contribute to ensuring that the hardware functions, the network is secure, and communication between the company's systems is stable and reliable.
In the role, you will work with among other things:
- Hardware & Systems: You are involved in the construction and operation of the company's server environment. The work includes assembling and configuring servers, installing Linux and virtualization platforms, as well as operating GPU-based systems and container solutions.
- Network & Integration: You operate stable networks, connect the servers to the factory network, and set up secure VPN tunnels for remote access.
- Security & Operations: You protect and maintain the infrastructure through firewalls, SSH keys, security updates, and ongoing hardware checks.
- AI Infrastructure: You are involved in the construction and operation of the company's AI environment. Tasks include installing and configuring local AI models, GPU-based systems, APIs, as well as working on performance, availability, and security.
We are looking for someone who
- Is studying a post-secondary IT technical education at least 50%.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required in the job.
- Has a strong interest in IT.
